Christmas

Christmas was great, except for the whole me feeling like I am getting sick, popping cold-eeze like they were candy and spending most of the day taking a long nap.

On the 23rd Christian and I drove to Ohio to pick up the presents. Don't ask... it made sense at the time. We came home on the 24th, after a night of Shelby and Sydney screaming inconsolably for no apparent reason.

On the 25th we woke up, the boys opened their presents and popped in a movie. I immediately fell asleep in the chair, so they woke me up and sent me to bed. (The logic evades me...)

One of the presents Alex and Christian got was Internet in their rooms (all of the junk needed to network) but in order to run the wires the tree had to come down. Alex ran to the garage to grab the boxes for the tree and ornaments, came in and had everything packed away within 10 minutes. And we thought he was unmotivated.

Marty and Christian made Christmas dinner. They woke me up (yes, I was asleep again) just in time to eat. After dinner we fixed the network and cleaned up their computers. It is amazing what kids can do to a system if only given half a chance.

We skipped our usual Christmas day movie and instead stayed home and watched TV.

Yesterday was Alex's birthday and for his B-day dinner he decided he wanted steak. We packed up and headed to Marty's work for lunch. On the way home we stopped at Wal-Mart because the thought of having money in his pocket for another day just killed Alex. Must. Be. Spent.

After shopping we came home and the boys played on their computers or played PS2 for the rest of the day.

Today they have a Laser Tag thingy with Civil Air Patrol, and then friends are spending the night. All in all, not a bad Christmas break!
